Adams Electric Awards $11,000 In Adult Scholarships

Adams Electric Cooperative recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to 11 of its adult members to help them continue their education.

The 11 were chosen from among the applications reviewed by the co-op’s volunteer scholarship committee and approved by the board of directors. This is the eighth year for the adult scholarships and the ninth year for youth scholarships, awarded to high school seniors earlier in the year. Both programs are funded with Ownership Rewards (unclaimed patronage capital money) and do not affect member rates.

High School Collegiate Scholarships

Adams Electric awards up to 22 collegiate scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to high school seniors, who are sons and daughters of co-op members (one per public school served in co-op territories, plus up to five additional). The cooperative works in partnership with the Adams County Community Foundation to administer these scholarships. Applications, deadlines and the decision-making process vary depending on the school and the scholarship being applied for. Please read the options below to see which option applies to you or your local high school senior.
