Adams Electric Awards $11,000 In Adult Scholarships

Adams Electric Cooperative recently awarded $1,000 scholarships to 11 of its adult members to help them continue their education.

The 11 were chosen from among the applications reviewed by the co-op’s volunteer scholarship committee and approved by the board of directors. This is the eighth year for the adult scholarships and the ninth year for youth scholarships, awarded to high school seniors earlier in the year. Both programs are funded with Ownership Rewards (unclaimed patronage capital money) and do not affect member rates.

The winners include: Andrea Katz of Newburg, Anna Maria Gray-Leyko of Stewartstown, Brandi Frame of York, Brecca Faust of Gettysburg, Chris Frank of Fairfield, Gwendolyn Blouse of Dover, Jill Lippiatt of Glenville, Kevin Hoover of Orrtanna, Lisa Harman of Biglerville, Nicole Renninger of Newburg, and Samantha Dell of Gettysburg.
