Help ‘Stuff the Bucket’ with pre-teen ‘toys’

Adams Electric members and the community are invited to help the cooperative “Stuff the Bucket” this holiday season with toys that will bring holiday joy to youth in need.

Toy collection bins will be set up in each district office from Dec. 4 to Dec. 19 to collect new and gently used items. Donations will benefit the rescue missions in the Gettysburg, Shippensburg and York districts.

Drop off toys from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays at these district office locations:

  • Gettysburg District Office, 1380 Biglerville Road (Rt. 34);
  • Shippensburg District Office, 10 Duncan Road (Southampton Twp., Cumberland County); and
  • York District Office, 200 Trinity Road (Rtes. 30 and 616)

One donation recipient will be the Adopt a Family for Christmas program at the Adams Rescue Mission which is attempting to fill a void in items for pre-teens. “The older the child, the more expensive the gifts get, but if everyone is willing to make even one purchase, we could greatly bless this age group,” says Jenn Punchard, assistant director of family ministries at the mission.
