Grove named to chair Pa./N.J. co-op board
Jay Grove of Shippensburg, president of the Adams Electric Cooperative board of directors, has been re-elected to a second term as chair of the Allegheny Electric Cooperative, Inc., board of directors.
Grove, a member of the Allegheny board since 2006, was named during an early November board reorganization meeting in Harrisburg. Allegheny is the generation and transmission cooperative that provides power to the electric co-ops in Pa. and N.J.
Grove has served on the Adams Electric board since 1992 and was named board president in 2007. He is a credentialed cooperative director and has received certified board leadership and director gold certificates from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA). He has served on the board of Adams Utility Service Company (AUSCO), a subsidiary of Adams Electric, and on the board for the Mid-Atlantic Cooperative Solutions, Inc. (MACS) which does business as Aero Energy.
Grove is a dairy farmer who operates the Gro-lan Farms partnership. He has become well known as a leader and volunteer with cooperatives, agricultural organizations and local community groups.
