Adams Electric promotes two employees, hires two apprentices
Adams Electric Cooperative recently promoted two employees and hired additional employees in the operations department.
As of Sept. 30, Rebecca Witherow took on a new role as senior member services coordinator in the finance/member services department. The district offices of Shippensburg, York and Gettysburg will be under her supervision moving forward. Witherow started with Adams in 2009 as a service dispatcher. She resides in Gardners.
In the operations department, effective Oct. 15, Andrew Kuykendall was promoted to third-year apprentice at the Gettysburg District, after passing a series of skills tests and a written safety test. He started with Adams as a groundman in 2017 and resides in Biglerville.
Jason Stanley joined Adams Electric’s operations department Sept. 23, as a first-year apprentice in the York District. Before coming to Adams, Stanley worked for CW Wright Construction as an apprentice lineman. He is a resident of Saint Thomas, Pa., but has plans to relocate to East Berlin.
Ryan Gelnett also joined the co-op’s operations department Sept. 24, as a first-year apprentice in the Shippensburg District. Before joining the cooperative, he worked as a groundman for J.R. Wyles, Inc. Gelnett is a graduate of Global Powerline Academy. He resided in Hummelstown, Pa., but is relocating to Shippensburg.
