Adams Electric Cooperative 2010 Annual Meeting Sign-Up

Adams Electric will host its annual meeting on Saturday, June 12, at the Allstar Events Complex in Gettysburg. Located at 2638 Emmitsburg Road, Allstar can house all those attending under one roof. The facilities are air-conditioned and handicap accessible.

"We’ve been very happy with how Allstar has been able to accommodate our business meeting and program," says Steve Rasmussen, CEO/general manager.

Registration and exhibits will be open from 8:30-10 a.m., followed by a business meeting, director election and bylaw amendment vote from 10 a.m. to noon. During the business meeting, Russell Redding, Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture, will speak about "The New Direction of Agriculture in Pennsylvania."

A children’s program (for Ages 5-12) will be held indoors during the business meeting. A barbecued chicken lunch will be served following the business meeting. The facility offers nearby handicap parking, plus regular parking spaces accessible by shuttle. Door prize drawings will be held following the business meeting. Members must be present to win.

Bring your used, intact CFLS to the exhibit area -- maximum of 5 -- and the co-op will replace them for you.

In May, all co-op members will be sent an invitation to the meeting and an election/bylaw change ballot via first class mail. Meal reservations are required by May 28.
