Adams Electric Cooperative Scholarships

Adams Electric Scholarships for High School Seniors attending Public High Schools

Sons and daughters of full-time residential Adams Electric Cooperative members, who are high school seniors in one of 17 public high schools listed below, may apply for $500 Adams Electric Cooperative Scholarships. Scholarships are offered to deserving seniors attending each of the 17 public high schools in the co-op’s service area.

How to apply
See your guidance counselor for an application. The $500 scholarships are made available through each school’s scholarship application process. A committee from each school chooses the winner.

To qualify for a high school scholarship, the applicant must:
• Be a high school senior;
• Receive electricity from Adams Electric at their primary residence;
• Be accepted in a post-secondary program at an accredited institution (two-year, four-year or technical);
• Maintain a cumulative high school grade-point average of 2.5 or above;
• Show a commitment to community; and
• Show a financial need.

ADAMS COUNTY: Bermudian Springs High School, Biglerville High School, Fairfield High School, Gettysburg Area High School, Littlestown Senior High School and New Oxford High School

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Big Spring High School

FRANKLIN COUNTY: Chambersburg Area Senior High School and Shippensburg Area Senior High School

YORK COUNTY: Dallastown Area High School, Dover Area Senior High School, Kennard-Dale High School, Northern York High School, Red Lion Area Senior High School, South Western High School, Spring Grove Area Senior High School and Susquehannock High School
